Australia opener Usman Khawaja was cleared of genuine damage subsequent to taking an awful hit to the head and being compelled to resign hurt from a World Cup warmup against West Indies in Southampton on Wednesday.
Khawaja experienced sweeps on his jaw subsequent to being struck by an Andre Russell bouncer in the second over of Australia's innings and escorted from the Rose Bowl's Nursery Ground. Australia proceeded to win the match by seven wickets.
"It was unnerving," Australia batsman Shaun Marsh, who scored 55 not out batting at number five, told columnists.
"It copped him in favor of the cheekbone, I think. The primary concern is he is alright and can skip back before long.
"Clearly (he was) somewhat shaken, as you are the point at which you get hit on the head, yet Uzzy's an intense treat and he'll be prepared to go."
Swamp and returning previous skipper Steve Smith put on 109 for the third wicket as Australia pursued down West Indies' count of 229 inside 39 overs.
Smith hit seven fours and two sixes in his 76 and Marsh said it was great to see him and previous bad habit commander David Warner, who scored 12, back ready after the finish of their one-year bans for the Newlands ball-altering embarrassment.
"(Smith) has quite recently returned and simply done what he's generally does and scored runs," Marsh included.
"It's only phenomenal to have them both back in the group. They are both extremely significant players for us."
With Smith and Warner back, Marsh isn't sure of a spot in the side for the World Cup opener against Afghanistan in Bristol on June 1 however he figured his flexibility may work to support him.
"I believe I'm pleasant and adaptable," Marsh said. "I've batted from one to six over my vocation so I'll simply appreciate the last two warmup matches and we'll see."
The shielding champions' next warmup is against World Cup has England, who top the world rankings, at the fundamental Rose Bowl ground on Saturday.
"I believe it will be an extraordinary test and we'll see where we're at," Marsh closed.
